These prosciutto crostini melts consist of freshly melted mozzarella cheese topped with prosciutto that crisps up nicely in the oven. Then, finished off with a balsamic which completes this tasty crostini melt. Perfect to serve at a potluck, brunch, or as a snack any time of day. Have you fallen in love with balsamic glaze? Ingredients:
- fresh mozzarella
- proscuitto
- baguette
- balsamic glaze
- arugula opt.
Instructions on how to assemble your Prosciutto Crostini Melts:
Preheat your oven to 350F.
Slice your baguette into thin Β½ inch slices you should have about 13 slices.
Lay your baguette slices on a lined baking sheet. Then top with a slice of fresh mozorella cheese. Then with a half to ΒΌ of prosciutto slice.
Place baking sheet into a preheated oven and bake for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Once done baking let the prosciutto crostini melts slightly cool and place on a serving plate. Right before serving drizzle with balsamic glaze.
Recipe tips:
- These prosciutto crostini's are best enjoyed fresh. For a make ahead option you can assemble the sandwiches and bake right before serving or enjoying.
- Serve these crostini's along side a salad or as an appetizer. They look beautiful as part of a spread.
- Fresh mozzarella cheese can also be substituted with brie for another delicious option.
