- Burrata- Can be substituted with Brie to make it a brie and prosciutto sandwich. It will be best to test the sandwich in this case.
- Bread- can be substituted with ciabatta bread or artisanal bread from the grocery store.
- Arugula - Can be replaced with spinach or mixed greens for a different flavor profile.
Instructions
Step 1: Cut open the bread roll then spread mayonnaise on both sides and spoon on a burrata cheese ball and tear it open I used 2 Burrata balls for this sandwich and topped the other side with all ruffled prosciutto slices.
Step 2: Add toppings, a handful of arugula, and sliced tomatoes. To finish off drizzle the sandwich filling and toppings with balsamic glaze. Close the prosciutto and arugula sandwich and enjoy!
Equipment Recommendations
- Bread knife
- Cutting board
- Cheese knife or spoon for handling burrata
Storage
Best enjoyed fresh, but if you have leftovers, store components separately to maintain texture. Reassemble before serving to retain the sandwich's original appeal.
Top tip
For an extra layer of flavor, try adding a sprinkle of crushed red pepper or a drizzle of honey to your prosciutto arugula sandwich.
