Instructions for making Focaccia Pizza Bread
Preheat oven to 350F
Melt ½ cup butter in a small saucepan, add 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, and minced garlic. Set aside and let garlic release its juices into the butter.
Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Slice bread with a serrated knife down the middle and through the center. So you have 4 separate sections. Then lay bread onto the parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
Brush melted garlic butter evenly among each of the bread sections, so all edges are coated.
Top each section of bread with about 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese and then top with pepperonis.
Bake in the preheated oven at 350°F for about 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Then broil for 2-3 minutes to get the caramel color on the cheese.
Remove from the oven and let cool for about 5-8 minutes. Then using a sharp knife cut into triangle slices.
Heat marinara sauce for dipping or use a cool ranch dressing.
Recipe tips and substitutions:
-You can substitute focaccia bread with french bread.
-I use turkey pepperoni for a healthier alternative, but any pepperoni will work.
