Do you change out your wreath on the front door with every changing season? This is a perfect way to celebrate the changing seasons as they come and go. An easy way to do this without having a bunch of different wreaths is to use a grapevine wreath as a base and change out the florals/leaves and ribbons with the seasons. Let me show you a DIY fall wreath that I made that you can make for under $20.

What to put in a fall wreath
Let me walk you through how I put together this DIY fall wreath. What I purchased and what I foraged and found outdoors. This wreath I made cost me only $12. I already had the grapevine wreath, I gathered the wheat grasses outside and at a craft store, I purchased the green dry grass for a statement piece and some contrast. I love bringing in natural elements when decorating it's so versatile and timeless and creates a calm environment.
Start by purchasing a simple grapevine wreath. This one is a great cheap option:
Then let's add in the statement pieces and accents. On a recent trip to the ocean, I collected the wheat grass and dried it at home. To makes sure the grasses don't fall apart I apply a small coat of hair spray. Purchased or foraged dry grasses are a perfect option that brings those natural elements in. If you would like to purchase branches or grasses choose ones that are versatile and can be reused in the coming seasons.

How to secure the florals and stems to the wreath
Hot glue! This is the perfect option because it holds well and is easy to remove after the season is finished. Insert ur stems and florals how u would like them into the grapevine wreath and then flip the wreath and apply hot glue where needed to secure everything in place. To finish off I sprayed hair spray. This will help keep the grasses from falling apart and the wind blowing them away.
Best way to hang a wreath on your front door
I have a metal front door, so I use magnet hooks to hang my wreath. To secure the wreath in place I use 2 hooks one on top and one on the bottom. I would recommend using some kind of hooks that won't damage your door that way if you want to change things up there won't be a nail in your door or a hole. Great options are command hooks, wreath hangers, suctions hooks if you have glass doors, or magnetic hooks.
