Step by Step Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Puff Pastry Before we start preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C). Then, start by rolling out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about ⅛-inch thickness. Use a round cookie cutter to cut out small circles from the pastry then in the middle of each round use a smaller cookie cutter and press down, but not all the way through. Place them on the prepared baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 2: Bake the Puff Pastry Bake the puff pastry cups in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and puffy. Remove from the oven and let them cool completely. Once they have cooled cut and pick out the center, this is why it is helpful to make an indent in the center with a smaller cookie cutter.
Step 3: Prepare the herb-infused butter In a mixing bowl, combine the softened salted butter, finely chopped fresh dill, and minced garlic. Mix and incorporate with a fork until well combined.
Step 4: Assemble the Bites Use the tip of a butter knife or small teaspoon and fill the puff pastry cups with a small amount of the herb-infused butter. Then top with Salmon caviar you can be as liberal as you would like. and Garnish with a spring of dill.
Hint: You can use a piping bag to apply herb-infused butter into the puff pastry cups. If your butter is soft enough it can be piped with a swirl tip.
