Instructions:
Peel the skins off of the ginger roots then cut them into smaller pieces and place them in a food processor or blender. Blend until ginger is minced finely. If needed add some of the liquid from the recipe to help it blend better.
Can I use lemon juice to make immunity shots?
It is better to use fresh lemons rather than the concentrated lemon juice sold at grocery stores. This way you will get the nutrients from the lemon juice without any additives or preservatives.
In a large bowl lay a sieve over it and pour out your minced ginger and press with a spatula to release the juice from the ginger. You should yield 1 cup of liquid from your blended ginger.
Then add in the lemon juice and pour it over the sieve as well to help collect any pulp that may be left. Add in the water mix it and Lastly add the honey and whisk it with a spatula or whisk until all the honey is dissolved.
Pour into 2 oz bottles or store in an air-tight jar in the fridge and take a 2oz shot daily.
How to properly store immunity shots and for how long
In the refrigerator, these shots can be stored in individual portion glass vials and stored for about a week. Although, some of the nutritional value will deplete over time.
The juice can also be poured into an ice-cube tray and frozen for up to six months. You can take a couple out of the freezer in the morning and leave them to defrost then drink them as a shot.
How often can you take immunity shots?
Some nutritionists say you can take them daily and up to 4 times daily.
