A quick and easy recipe ready in less than 10 minutes for Homemade Yakisoba Sauce! This sauce is perfect to use for stir-fry dishes and recipes, one batch can be used in about 4-5 dishes.
Ingredients you will need to make this sauce:
- soy sauce- can be substituted with low sodium soy sauce or coconut aminos.
- oyster sauce- a sweet and salty condiment that adds color and flavor.
- Teriyaki sauce- I like using kinder brand teriyaki sauce another kind you can use is the most common Kikkoman brand.
- sugar-Choose your preference white or organic or brown sugar can be used in this recipe.
- ginger- Clean off the skin on the ginger root (either with a small paring knife or with a spoon) and grate on a fine grater.
- garlic- Feel free to add extra garlic for a more intense flavor.
- water
What does Yakisoba mean?
Yakisoba, which just means grilled (yaki) noodles (soba) it is a popular quick and easy meal.
I will share my favorite way to make Yakisoba noodles shortly but let's first go into detail on the Sauce. This recipe makes a large batch that can be used for approximately 5-6 dishes.

This yakisoba sauce recipe is so versatile use it in the yakisoba noodle recipe or you can use it as a Marinate for beef, chicken, or even shrimp. Use it for different stir-fry recipes. Another reason to make homemade yakisoba sauce rather than purchasing a premade one at the store is you have more control over the ingredients and can easily adjust the flavors or ingredients to your dietary restrictions or flavor desires.
Instructions for this sauce recipe:
In a saucepan add all the ingredients 1 cup soy sauce, 1 cup oyster sauce, 1 cup teriyaki sauce, 2 cups water, 1 ½ cups sugar, 2 tbs ginger grated or minced, 4 garlic cloves minced. Bring to a simmer and 5-7 minutes. Make sure to stir often to avoid it from burning on the bottom.
Let the sauce cool, then strain and pour it into a clean jar or container with an air-tight lid. Use in stir-fry dishes, for easy Asian-inspired recipes.
How to store your Homemade Yakisoba Sauce:
Store the ready sauce in the refrigerator with an air-tight lid for 1 month.
