This Creamy Shrimp Alfredo Pasta recipe is easy and quick enough for a weeknight dinner, yet fancy and tasty enough for company. I will share with you how I achieve the perfect creamy sauce that is so irresistible you will want to make it again and again.
Ingredients you need to make Creamy Shrimp Alfredo:
-Pasta
-Shrimp
-Garlic
-White wine
-Heavy cream
-Parmesan cheese (good quality)
-Salt & Pepper
-Lemon juice
Instructions:
1. Marinate shrimp with salt and pepper and a squirt of lemon juice set aside for about 5-10 minutes.
2. Sauté shrimp on medium heat in a non-stick skillet on both sides until light pink set aside in bowl while you prepare the creamy Alfredo sauce.
3. In a preheated skillet on medium heat add 5-6 cloves of minced garlic cloves and saute until fragrant. Then pour in 1 cup white wine *see notes for substitution* and let simmer until a reduction about 3-4 minutes, the wine should slightly thicken.
4. Pour in 2 cups of heavy cream and let the sauce come to a simmer. Mix in grated parmesan cheese *see notes about which cheese to use* and turn off heat. Lastly add in cooked shrimp and season with a little extra pepper as needed.
5. Cook pasta in pot according to package instructions. When done cooking assemble pasta dish with cooked pasta and top with creamy Shrimp Alfredo and enjoy!
