Vibrant yellow rice that is rich in flavor yet so easy to make. Saffron rice is a perfect side dish to serve with your choice of meat. The bright yellow color is intriguing and the delicious flavor is like rice you have never had before.
Ingredients:
-broth
-basmati rice
-butter
-salt
-saffron
Instructions to make vibrant saffron rice:
1. In a small cup or bowl place ΒΌ cup of hot water and add a pinch (β
tsp) of saffron let sit aside until water is yellow about 5 minutes.
2. In a strainer wash basmati rice until water runs clear.
3. In a small pot place clean 1 cup basmati rice, saffron with yellow water, 1 and ΒΎ cup broth, 2 tablespoon butter, and ΒΌ teaspoon sea salt.
4. Cook on medium heat for about 15 minutes or until rice is cooked and no water remains
**if using a rice cooker use white rice setting**
Enjoy as a side dish to accompany chicken, beef, or lamb.
