SAFFRON RICE

Vibrant yellow rice that is rich in flavor yet so easy to make. Saffron rice is a perfect side dish to serve with your choice of meat.

- 1 cup basmati rice
- 1 ¾ cups chicken broth
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
- ⅛ teaspoon saffron
In a small cup or bowl place ¼ cup of hot water and add a pinch (⅛ tsp) of saffron let sit aside until water is yellow about 5 minutes.
In a strainer wash rice until water runs clear.
In a small pot place clean 1 cup basmati rice, saffron with yellow water, 1 and ¾ cup broth, 2 tablespoon butter, and ¼ teaspoon sea salt.
Cook on medium heat for about 15 minutes or until rice is cooked and no water remains**if using a rice cooker use white rice setting** Enjoy as a side dish pairs well with just about any meal!
