This recipe is the definition of comfort food! What's better on a cold cloudy day than a warm comforting dinner that the whole family will enjoy. Fall apart tender braised beef with potatoes in a delicious sauce that will surely leave you wanting to lick your plate clean.

What you will need:

-beef chunks
-yellow onion
-carrots
-gold Yukon potatoes
-pasta sauce
-broth
-bay leaf
-Mrs. Dashes
-sea salt
-black pepper
-oil
Opt. parsley for garnish

Instructions for making Braised Beef Potatoes

Coat meat with seasoning and drizzle with oil and set aside to marinate while you chop onions and carrots.

Then dice onions and chop or grate carrots.

In a cast iron, dutch oven or heavy bottom skillet sear meat on high heat, remove from pot and set aside.

On medium heat saute onions and carrots until caramelized. Then add tomato sauce, seared meat and broth let simmer for 15 minutes. In the meantime clean and prep potatoes while the meat simmers in the broth to help the meat be fall-apart tender

Clean potatoes and chop into large cubes and add to the pot and reduce heat to medium-low and let slow cook for about 45 minutes until the potatoes are fork-tender

Opt. top with chopped parsley for a garnish!
