1 instant pot
1 sieve
1 cup measure
- 1 cup Calrose rice
- 1 cup Water

Rinse the Rice: Using a strainer rinse the white rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch and prevents the rice from being too sticky. Place the rinsed rice, water, and salt in the Instant Pot.
Cook Rice: Close the Instant Pot lid, ensuring the valve is set to the sealing position. Set the Instant Pot to Pressure Cook mode on High for 3 minutes. Allow the Instant Pot to release pressure naturally for 10 minutes after the cooking cycle completes.
Fluff the Rice: Open the Instant Pot and fluff the rice with a fork to separate the grains. This helps achieve a light and fluffy texture.
Recipe Tip
Remove rice once done cooking if opened and left in the instant pot it ends up sticking to the bottom and sides. If you need to keep warm then keep the instant pot sealed until ready to serve.
