  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • teaspoon sea salt
  • coconut oil for frying

Instructions

  • Into a mixing bowl crack 2 eggs and beat with a whisk until frothy.
  • Add ⅔ cup of milk to the eggs and mix with a whisk.
  • Lastly add all the seasonings, ¼ teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, ⅛ teaspoon sea salt.
  • Slice bread into 1 inch thick slices.
  • Heat a skillet on medium heat and a teaspoon of coconut oil.
  • Dip one slice of bread into the batter, coat both sides, and place it into the preheated skillet. Cook about a minute on each side and repeat with the remaining bread.
  • Place finished toast on to a paper towel on a plate to absorb excess oil.

Notes

-You can freeze french toast for up to 2 months (once it has cooled place into a freezer bag.)
-French bread- can be substituted with practically any other bread you have. Some great options are brioche and texas toast.
-whole milk- can be substituted with any nut milk for a healthy alternative.
-Coconut oil- can be substituted with butter for a richer toast.
