Homemade Kombucha Recipe

Equipment

  • 2.5 gallon glass jar

Ingredients
  

  • 13 cups water boiling
  • 1.5 cups sugar organic
  • 5 tbsp loose leaf tea 6-7 tea bags
  • 1-2 cups kombucha
  • Scoby

Instructions
 

  • Brew tea: Boil 13 cups of water and add sugar and tea. Mix until all the sugar is dissolved. Set aside to brew and cool to room temperature
  • After cooled pour in your ready kombucha and add the scoby on top. Cover with a paper towel or cheesecloth and secure with a rubber band.
  • Store in a warm and dry place away from direct sunlight for 5-7 days
  • After the days remove the scoby with VERY CLEAN HANDS! you dont want to kill the bacteria with the oils from your hands. and transfer to a plate and refridgerate while your next brew is being prepared
  • Strain the kombucha and pour into jars or bottles and refridgerate
  • And start from the top for your new batch
