TILAPIA WITH CREAM SAUCE

Flakey tilapia with a creamy sauce that consists of caramelized vegetables. This tilapia with cream sauce is an easy and tasty meal that comes together in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients
  

  • 5-6 Tilapia fillets
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • S&P to taste

Instructions
 

  • Rinse tilapia fillets and pat dry with paper towel. Season with salt, pepper, lemon juice and drizzle with olive oil.
  • Heat a pan on medium heat and drizzle oil and fry tilapia filets until golden and crisp on the outside.
  • Prepare veggies by peeling onion, and dice. Then peel carrots and grate then dice bell pepper. Once all veggies are chopped reheat same skillet and fry veggies until caramelized.
  • Move caramelized veggies to the side and add in sautéed fish and top with veggies.
  • Pour cream over fish and veggies and let it come to a simmer. Once fish flakes about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add your favorite herbs of choice and serve over grains or pasta.
