CREAMY GREEN BEAN SKILLET

Green beans with a luscious creamy garlic sauce. The green beans are crisp and the sauce is garlicky goodness.
Servings 6 people

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs green beans
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 1 onion
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup white wine
  • parmesan cheese
  • S&P to taste

Instructions
 

  • Trim ends on green beans Parboil green beans in a high concentration of salt 2 tbs of salt per quart of water. The high content of salt will make the green beans crisp and not overcooked.
  • Boil green beans for 8 minuts and then drain and flush them with cold water.
  • Chop up 1 onion and saute in skillet on medium heat until caramelized. Then add in 5 minced garlic cloves saute until fragrant.
  • To make the creamy sauce pour in ½ cup wine and cook into a reduction should be about 3 minutes. Then add 1 cup of heavy cream and let it come to a light simmer.
  • Top with fresh grated parmesan cheese and enjoy as a side dish to a variety of meals.
