Rustic Sourdough Bread Recipe

Ingredients: Active Starter Filtered Water Sea Salt Sugar Good Quality Flour

Step 1:

Feed your Sourdough starter to activate. This process can take from 3 to 8 hours depending on your starter and the temperature of your home.

Step 2:

Mix the dough: Once your starter has been fed and is active you are ready to mix the dough.

Step 3:

Stretching and folding Sourdough: Repeat this 5-6 times leaving the dough to rest on the counter for 30 minutes every time.

Step 4:

Final stretch: On the 6th time of strengthening your dough invert the dough onto a floured surface and split the dough into 2 even pieces and form the bread.

Step 5:

Bake the Sourdough bread: Preheat your oven to 450F with your Dutch oven. Once the bread is scored and ready to bake place inside the Dutch oven and bake for 30 minutes covered and 20 minutes uncovered.
